The 5 minutes of sustainability resource was created in direct response to teachers and students asking, ‘What can WE do about climate change and biodiversity loss?’ This series of impactful student-led videos can stimulate interesting discussions, create awareness and empower schools to tackle the climate and nature emergency.Â
Each video is on a new topic and highlights feasible, actionable steps to combat climate change, manage energy, reduce waste and improve biodiversity in your schools.
This resource is for Sustainability Coordinators and any primary & secondary teachers who want to take action in their subject area.

How to use this resource
Sustainability CoordinatorsÂ
Play the videos to the whole school once a month/half term to create awareness.
Use the videos to bolster an action you want to take as a whole school. Ask each department how they can use their lessons to help support that whole school action.
Classroom Teacher
Play a video when covering a topic that relates to biodiversity, travel, energy, & data.
Allow the class to brainstorm how they will take an action as an individual, as a class or as a school.
