Description

ESHA’s quality cards series HEADstart aims to help school heads with useful professional tips on developing and becoming better team leaders.

The materials address the questions ‘why is it important to promote teacher learning?’, ‘how can school leaders stimulate their teachers’ learning?’ as well as four steppingstones:

  • Steppingstone 1: Promote collaboration in your team
  • Steppingstone 2: Support in identifying the learning needs of your team members
  • Steppingstone 3: Support in conducting learning activities for teachers
  • Steppingstone 4: Monitor the progress of your teachers’ learning processes

The materials also include some small actions you can take to provide opportunities during the learning process.

This resource is meant to be used as guidance to support school leaders with the steps outlined designed to help promote professional learning in teachers and build a psychologically safe learning environment for all.
