Logo of the ESHA HeadStarts. Guidelines for School leaders.

ESHA’s quality cards series HEADstart aims to help school heads with useful professional tips on how to develop and become better leaders of their teams.

The Headstart Stimulating Teacher learning provides practical tools for questions like:

  • How to move my team forward?
  • How do I get my teachers excited to learn?
  • How do I support my teachers in using the right interventions?

The materials address the questions ‘why is it important to promote teacher learning?’, ‘how can school leaders stimulate their teachers’ learning?’ as well as four steppingstones:

Steppingstone 1: Promote collaboration in your team

Steppingstone 2: Support in identifying the learning needs of your team members

Steppingstone 3: Support in conducting learning activities for teachers

Steppingstone 4: Monitor the progress of your teachers’ learning processes

The materials also include some small actions you can take to further provide opportunities during the learning process.
