Popis

Šestihodinový pracovní program, který vznikl za podpory odborníků na data z týdeníku The Economist, pomáhá žákům ve věku 10-16 let prozkoumat příklady ze zpravodajství, vyslechnout si novináře zabývající se daty a prozkoumat spolehlivost dat ve čtyřech živých lekcích a poté se zamyslet nad svými poznatky.

Students are encouraged to form their own conclusions and the final two lessons support learners to plan, create and share their own Standpoints – their final say about data decisions, presented in either audio, video or written format.

This resource contains a teacher guide and PowerPoint presentation to help teachers introduce the topic. Through exploring examples, questioning, teamwork, and discussion, students will learn and debate the importance numeracy in the news to understand the issues relating to sustainability.
